fold faq

Where can I get replacement parts for my pressure cooker?

At specialty shops that carry Fissler products, in specialty departments in department stores, or from the central Fissler Customer Service Department.

fold faq

Can I order replacement parts directly from you?

Yes. From the central Fissler Customer Service Department: Fissler GmbH, Abt. Kundendienst, Harald-Fissler-Str. 10, D-55768 Hoppstädten-Weiersbach, Germany, Tel.: +49 (0) 6781 / 403-556.

Which pressure cookers are induction-compatible?

All of Fissler's new pressure cookers are induction-compatible. This is shown by the stamp on the base. If the stamp reads "CookStar" or "Induction", the cooker can be used on induction stoves.

There are stains on my pressure cooker. What can I do?

These are generally discolorations  which result from substances in the water being absorbed into the passive film of the stainless steel. Cleansers which contain a large amount of basic silicates and phosphates can also produce such discolorations in stainless steel. Adding salt to water which has not yet come to the boil can also produce deposits of salt crystals on the bottom of the pot. The salt then reacts with the stainless steel, forming little white spots on the bottom of the pot. Discolorations can also be produced if stainless steel cookware is placed on a burner that is already very hot. The discolorations can easily be removed with Fissler Stainless Steel Cleanser.

My pressure cooker isn't working correctly anymore. What can I do?

Consult Chapter 10, "Questions and answers regarding pressure cookers", in the Instructions for Use, or ask for help from your Fissler retailer's customer service or specialty department in your department store.
The central Fissler Customer Service Department will also be pleased to help you.

fold faq

Can I order a complete pressure cooker from you?

Complete pressure cookers and pressure cooker lids can only be ordered from your specialty retailer.

fold faq

Can pressure cookers be placed in the dishwasher?

The pot can basically be placed in the dishwasher. But please remember that the rubber gasket must be removed from the lid, the lid handle from the magic comfort, and the main control valve from the Vitavit Royal.

fold faq

How long is there a warranty on the pressure cooker, and how long is the availability of replacement parts guaranteed?

Fissler grants a 3-year warranty on all individual parts (excluding parts which are subject to wear, such as the rubber gasket, O-rings, valve base seals and silicone membranes). The warranty will be cancelled in case of improper use and does not apply to purely visual signs of wear. Fissler guarantees that all functional parts - from the rubber gasket to the complete lid handle - can be purchased up to 10 years.

fold faq

For what uses are the insets intended?

You can use the insets for steaming (perforated inset), thawing frozen foods (perforated or unperforated inset), extracting juice from fruits (perforated on the unperforated inset), or cooking several foods at the same time (various insets stacked).

I have a problem with stews and dishes that have to be thickened, everything burns. What am I doing wrong?

Stews must be brought to a boil again and stirred before the lid is closed. Foods should only be thickened after the end of the cooking time.
